Startup Sequence

Start SoundModem or AGWPE
Start BBSHUB4U.exe
Start Outpost

Standard Outpost procedures for accessing the BBS in BBSHUB

1. Connecting from Outpost on same laptop

In Outpost, create a new BBS for the local BBS callsign (as defined in config file, default is K6BUG-2). Also create a new Interface, called BBSHUB, and check AGWPE option and set port to 8010. Clicking Send/Receive will access the local BBS.

2. Connecting from Outpost on a laptop connected to LAN/WiFi

Make sure the laptop is connected to the same LAN as the laptop running BBSHUB. Get the IP address of the laptop running BBSHUB. Create a new Interface called BBSHUB-LAN, check the AGWPE option, change the IP adress as above and set port to 8010. Clicking Send/Receive will access BBSHUB and its internal BBS.

3. Connecting to an external BBS via radio

In Outpost, keep the Interface as BBSHUB, and select the external BBS (like FRPD-2 or KU6S-2). Turn on the radio and set the correct frequency. Clicking Send/Receive will access the selected BBS.

4. Connecting from an external Outpost via radio

On the external laptop, create a new BBS for the callsign of the BBS, and select a TNC that connects to the radio. Clicking Send/Receive will access the selected BBS.
